Charming Typography Pendants

I don't know about you, but I'm the type who never wins contests. Never.

One day I stumbled upon a blog contest offering these pendant creations by Laura Tarrish from Bridgetown Papers and left a comment. A couple weeks later I was notified that I had won!

This diminutive bottle which is about 1.25" high contains tiny letters cut from metallic card stock. Laura fills the bottles with initials or names that you like (up to 50 characters). Could be a secret message or names of loved ones.

Laura also adds the option of including a single gold icon (above) to the mix.

If interested in purchasing one of these darling pendants, email Laura Tarrish at tarrish@bridgetownpapers.com. The price of a pendant is $35.

Thanks again Laura for my sweet treasure!

Great Gatsby Monogram Maker!

Are you a Great Gatsby fan? Love Art Deco? Well, I just stumbled upon this official Great Gatsby monogram maker from the Warner Brothers website.

This logo is just like the one featured on trailers and posters for the upcoming movie. Simply visit their site here, and put in your initials.

Voila! You can create desktop wallpaper, stationary, even a Facebook header. All in fashionable gilt Deco!

Going, Going, Gone!

Today begins the 5 day auction of thousands of lavish items from the Hotel de Crillon in Paris. Oh, how I wish I was there!

The famed hotel, with its sumptuous salons and suites, is going through a two-year renovation. They're auctioning off 3,500 lots of 18th century style items from the hotel. Everything from draperies & bathrobes, to chandeliers & HOTEL SILVER. Yes, that's right. I'm crying over here. Sigh.

I love the above brass/glass lamp.  The shades have the hotel's monogram. WANT.

All of the silver being auctioned off is manufactured by Christofle. Doesn't it look lovely?

So, if you happen to be in Paris, be sure and visit the Hotel de Crillon. Maybe place a bid for me, huh? You can also visit the online catalog here.

Also, the Paris Flea Market Style book is finally available. It looks wonderful! Thanks for all who participated in our giveaway! The contest winners are Danette and Donna Baker. Thanks again!
